It starts with very simple basics and builds skills. I already spoke a bit of Spanish and am now only in the middle of level 2 and can't say enough positive things about this system! Each of the 3 levels have 4 Units, Each unit has 4 lessons, Each lesson is broken down into Reading, Speaking, Listening, Grammar, Writing (and more) sections. Each of these sections have between 4 & 20 pages. Each page is usually 4 easy, simple activiities of: repeat, fill in the blank, match the picture, select the correct one, etc.... Basically, the program is HUGE! Each step builds slightly on the previous. Although I spoke some Spanish, every step of the program has been helpful in terms of learning both vocabulary and how to speak properly. On my recent trip to Mexico, people would ramble on to me as if I were fluent! I'm not there yet, but I'm confident this program can! I initially hesitated at the cost of the program, but figure a local evening course would cost $250 +/- for only 10 lessons. Now, that I've used it, I believe this is fantastic value!
